Evening girls, so pleased it's Friday, another industrious day at the office. I really am getting to old for all this fun and games. Dashed into library but little of interest, so dashed to shop for a few provisions. Just watered part of garden, too tired for the rest.

Lillian, hope you enjoyed your rest today, you deserved it. Helen, and Boots, I don't shop or venture out at weekends....prefer peace and quiet at home. Koko, another lovely picture...thank you.

Joan, hope you are relaxing and enjoying the good weather and have a good night's sleep.

Must away and look for scraps to eat.

Good evening all,   fine evening here, just come in from garden duties.  went to visit dad but he was tired and went to bed so came home again, only 6pm.   every time we go he's in someone else's room, doesn't seem to be getting used to finding his own room even though the door is bright green and has his name on and has all his photo's etc.  doesn't seem to register at all.  Don't know whether they are meeting his needs or not and have meeting with social worker on Wed. to decide what's best for him..

Oh dear Lillian, so sorry to hear your father is confused at his new home. It is so worrying for you but please try not to be so upset. He is unaware of what is happening, so it is so much worse for you. ((((hugs)))) Perhaps your chat with the social worker will be of help...I hope so.

Try and relax now, easier said than done I know......a pity we all live so far apart, a good chat does the world of good....and a large pot of tea.Rolling Eyes

I still have to find something to eat....really must forage in the fridge.

Have a good forage June. I'm going to put kettle on myself. Feel as worried about dad as I was before. Don't think he's in the right place but where is the right place.....

Lillian good job your dad is roaming about in a secure environment, some of them did that where my mum was, it does not seem to worry them and they forget anyway. The staff are used to it. Seems to me that you placed him there at just the right time.....would have been sad if he had started to wander from his home....Unfortunately this is par for the course in these circumstances....I so admire the carers who look after them.

It is very worrying for you I know, just remember that he has 24 hour care now and is safe, the best that you can possibly do for him. They will assess his situation and let you know anything worthwhile. ((((((HUGS))))))

Evening girls, it ha been another boiling hot day and I have been catching up with bits and bobs.

Oh Koko, what a super poster. It looks like a Dragon Rapide with two wings instead of four. I wonder if that was a real advert for a flying route....really interesting.

It has clouded over now, so I hope we are in for a little rain for the garden. I hope you all have a lovely evening....off for a soak in bath.

Hello, hot and muggy here again, may rain tomorrow. My daughter-in-law and grand-daughter came today and we visited dad.
Angel, dad never wandered far at home, just up the road and he had sensors on his front door which worked at night, although anything could have happened during the day, up to going into care he never got lost but of course that could have changed as well...

Yes Lillian things do change, it must have been a bit worrying when your dad was at home. Warm here too and only a few minutes rain so far.

Afternoon Koko, Joan and Lillian,
Another warm day here but with a strong breeze. Thankfully had rain during yesterday evening and a tiny bit this afternoon...or could be morning....brain gone AWOL again.

Another superb poster Koko, I do love the travel ones. I remember them so well from the days of steam railways. They used to adorn the compartments above the bag rack. In fact that was the last time I have travelled on a train......oh for those days. I used to love standing on the platform hearing the sound and sight of the steam engine coming into view...so exciting.  Lunch and evening meal taken in comfort in the dining car, with the pretty little lamps with red shades on the tables. Now drifting off reminiscing.......

Spent today doing very little....chatting on phone with cousin, and talking about errant children. No word from own family since my birthday....was that this year or last.Rolling Eyes

Hope the weather is nice in your area Joan, or have you had rain as well.

Love today's travel poster Koko.....thank you for your cheerful morning greeting. Very Happy

I wish you all a nice day.
