Hi, seems like dad has been in care for ages but in actual fact it's only 2 weeks tomorrow, things are getting better now we are both getting used to it. Just drinking a glass of red wine...At least the garden doesn't need watering after the thunder storm early morning....

Still no rain here Lillian, really worrying. I never thought I would be longing for rain after the winter months we have had.

Same here Helen, I have never drank soft drinks in my life, or let my children drink them.....rots teeth with all the sugar and additives. Mind you I was brought up in a diabetic environment....my father, so that may have made a difference. I'm sure my daughter doesn't stick to the same rules....worse luck.

I am off the read for a while, so I wish you a good night, sleep well.

Relax Joan, we know you would be here if possible, take care.

I am drinking orange juice and sparkling mineral water, cheaper than lemonade too, by the pint. Hate coke etc...

Sunny but a breeze so nice.

Love the picture Koko. Very Happy

Evening girls, phew, back from another hectic day. Just switched on modem and hoped it worked...it did.

Greetings Joan, lovely to see you, and one day I may get home in time for tea in the cyber garden....one can only try. Do hope you are enjoying the sunny weather...in the shade.

Koko, I also love the colourful sketch....really cheerful.

No rain here again, and I am starting to despair for garden. Just watered back and now about to turn on front hoses. You must all be bored to death with my constant harping on about watering.....well, I am.Sleep

Have a nice evening.....I could do with an evening out, good food and a nice companion. All work and no play is taking its toll.scratch

Phew it's hot now I have closed doors to stop insects as lights are on now...

You and me too June...I so miss the company of a man, it's 18 months now since we split and dates that I have had have not been up to scratch, maybe I am too fussy but if you don't fancy them you can't help it.....a good friendship means so much, if you can find it...

Lillian it is a version of St Clements, which is orange juice and lemonade or bitter lemon. I prefer sparkling spring water which is cheaper in the shops. I find the juice too strong on it's own and don't like fizzy drinks.

Evening girls,
Another enchanting picture Koko,  thank you.

It's fresher here today, and I awoke in the night to the sound of rain...hurrah, only it stopped after five minutes...groan.  Can't seem to keep my eyes open today so not much activity here.  Really must try and do better tomorrow.

Agree Helen, chance would be a fine thing indeed!! Angel it has been 26 years since I have had a charming companion to dine out with, oh woe is me. Very Happy Wink  They take one look and run........ Shocked Cool Rolling Eyes

Joan, hope you are back to normal soon......as for me.....well normal doesn't appear in my vocabulary!! Laughing

Just to be awkward, I don't like any soft/fizzy drinks, not even bottled water. Wouldn't touch it flat or fizzy because of sodium content. Just love plain old tap water, not that it tastes good here in Berkshire...very hard water.

Off to say hello to hose pipe......gosh I do know how to enjoy myself......NOT.

Hope you are all well and enjoying the cooler weather.

June I use a filter jug as water is very hard here. Improves all drinks and stops your kettle furring up too.

Weekends for the most part are the same as any other day for us. It does mean more people including children, in town though which is a bit of a pain. Don't usually go in on a Saturday because of that.
